Every year a three-day festival is organized to celebrate the Twelve Apostles and on this occasion the wrestling tradition was established. During the last three days of June (28-29-30), at the “MENELAOS VASILIKOS” stadium, many visitors and athletes arrive in order to show off, as the prize is mainly symbolic, so as to honour the tradition of the place.
Tradition requires athletes from all the Balkan countries to compete wearing leather pants (kispets), smeared all over their bodies with oil and barefoot.
