In 1938 the Cultural and Educational Association of Krithia was founded in Assyros.
Today a close-knit group of young children are trying to pass on the customs and traditions of their ancestors.
Every year on the Meatfare Sunday, before Lent, at the “Mandi Festival” all the housewives of the village make and offer the unique homemade barley pies “Mandi” at the village square in Assyros.
